ATP Announces Call for Nominations for Atlanta Telecom Professional of the Year

ATP provides Atlanta professionals with the opportunity to network, exchange information, and be recognized for excellence within the Atlanta telecommunications community.

  

For Immediate Release: July 16, 2010—Atlanta—The Association of Telecom Professionals (ATP), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the continued professional development and network growth of the telecommunications community, today announced a call for nominations for the 2010 Atlanta Telecom Professional of the Year (ATPY). This annual award recognizes executives who advance the Atlanta telecommunications community through exceptional accomplishments in leadership, growth, and community involvement, in addition to implementing and utilizing innovative technologies and collaborative business practices within their organizations. The winner will be announced at the annual gala ceremony to be held on November 9, 2010 at Cobb Galleria Centre.

 

2009 ATPY Winner: Glenn Lurie, President, Emerging Devices, Resale and Partnerships, AT&T Mobility, “I am extremely grateful for this distinct honor that I share with the entire AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets team. In the past year my team has been charged with identifying new, emerging devices to connect to the AT&T wireless network and we’ve made tremendous progress. Today, we have several new products powered by our network, including netbooks, eReaders, and personal navigation devices. It is a real privilege to be honored amongst this very distinguished group of individuals.”

 

2009 ATP Enterprise Award: Dan Darling, CIO and SVP of Technology Productions and Operations, Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc., "I am honored by this recognition by ATP and grateful that they provide the opportunity to foster knowledge-sharing and innovative thinking. Nominations can be for executives within telecom companies or to honor leaders of enterprise organizations that have used telecom technology to improve their organization’s overall performance and bottom-line within the Atlanta metro area.

 

The deadline for nominations is August 4, 2010.
