Dr. Donald L. Amoroso, Professor and Department Chair of Information Systems at Kennesaw State University
Dr. Amoroso is Executive Director of the research institute entitled International Center for Innovation in Technologies (ICIT). Dr. Amoroso’s current areas of research include innovation, creativity, Internet adoption, understanding consumer behavior using the Internet, and music downloading. He has authored 72 refereed articles and proceedings, written 5 books, presented at over 52 professional conferences and venues. He is writing a textbook on Information Systems Management & Strategy Development and has authored three chapters with Ephraim Turban in the Sixth edition of the Management Information Systems textbook. He has published in journals such as Journal of Management Information Systems, Data Base, and Information & Management. He is a visiting scholar at Tsukuba University in Japan and teaches an annual CIO Summit Forum for the Technology Association of Georgia. Dr. Amoroso teaches classes in the executive and graduate programs on technology management, strategy formulation, and innovation of technology for commercialization. Dr. Amoroso received his Bachelors degree in accounting and finance from Old Dominion University in 1980 and his MBA and Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in 1984 and 1986, respectively.

Glenn Lurie, President AT&T – Emerging Devices
Glenn Lurie is President of Emerging Devices, National Resale and Partnerships for AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. He leads AT&T’s strategic initiative to drive innovation in bringing wireless connectivity to a host of new devices and applications — including personal computers, eBooks/eReaders, in-car entertainment and portable navigation devices, digital cameras, and machine-to-machine communications solutions.
Glenn also has responsibilities for AT&T’s ongoing operations and relationship with Apple Inc., having led negotiations to bring the iPhone to AT&T. In addition, he has responsibility for AT&T’s National Resale business and operations.
Glenn’s previous role was president of national distribution for AT&T’s wireless operations, where he was responsible for business operations for the National Retail Channel, National Dealer Channel, Direct Mail/Direct Response team, National Resale Operations, att.com - AT&T’s web business – as well as AT&T’s prepaid business and sales through all distribution channels.
Glenn joined the former AT&T Wireless in 1990, and held several sales, marketing and operation positions throughout his tenure. As senior vice president of AT&T’s West Region, he was responsible for the market operations in 10 western states, representing more than 40 percent of the company's overall business.
Prior to leading the company’s West Region operations, Lurie held senior executive positions including Regional Vice President for the California/Hawaii region and Vice President and General Manager for the Los Angeles/Southern California market after advancing from a similar position for Arizona.
Prior to entering the wireless industry, Lurie was a professional soccer player for teams representing Cleveland, Atlanta, Milwaukee and Portland.
Lurie was awarded the Atlanta Telecom Professional of the Year Award in 2009 from the Atlanta Telecoms Professionals Association. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business/Marketing from Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, WA.

David Norris, Director of Product Strategy, Stratix
David Norris serves as Director of Product Strategy for Stratix Corporation. David is responsible for leading software product strategy efforts in creating enterprise-level mobile applications for Stratix.
David works closely with sales and product development to ensure we are creating the right solutions for our customers.
For over twenty-three years David has served in senior product strategy and technology leadership positions for a variety of businesses from Fortune 500 companies to small internet startups. David specializes in designing and executing full-lifecycle product strategies for companies who are extending their business models to include new software products or who are transforming their legacy systems into mobile and web-ready ventures. David brings extensive experience in software product management to include strategic product planning, product research, product positioning, customer interfacing, sales and marketing support, requirements gathering, project management, client services, offshore development, quality assurance and professional services.
Prior to joining Stratix, David served as Director of Product Management overseeing software product strategy for CompuCredit, an Atlanta-based company providing credit and related financial services. David has also served in key leadership positions and has consulted for many organizations to include BellSouth.net, Coca-Cola, DuPont, GE Energy, Indus International, Total Systems, USWeb/CKS, Fieldcrest Cannon and a variety of startup ventures.
Harvey Scholl, Senior Vice President and CTO, Air2Web
Harvey serves as Air2Web’s senior vice president of Operations and CTO, responsible for managing the company’s worldwide customer-facing technical operations and overseeing Air2Web’s global network operation centers. He also oversees Air2Web’s Client Services team. He joined Air2Web in October 2008 with more than 15 years of experience that includes platform monitoring, process reengineering, infrastructure management, software development, project management, quality assurance and customer service. His last position was executive director of Data Systems for AT&T’s Yellowpages.com, In that role, Harvey managed a team of more than 40 technology and business resources responsible for the acquisition, management and publication of industry leading local business information. Past work also includes positions with MCI, Nortel, Simon & Schuster and Fleetcor. Harvey holds an MBA in Operations from the Georgia Institute of Technology and received a Bachelor of Arts in Management from La Salle University where he graduated with Honors.
Barry McCarthy General Manager Asia/Pacific, Alliances and Government Solutions, First Data
Barry McCarthy leads the Retail and Alliances Services business throughout the Asia/Pacific region including Joint Ventures with ICICI Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and Bank West Australia, as well as the company’s business in Korea. Additionally, McCarthy has responsibility for the US Joint Ventures with Wells Fargo and PNC Bank, and the company’s Government Services business. Collectively, these businesses annually process payments exceeding US$2 trillion.
Previously, McCarthy led the Mobile Commerce Solutions and Point-of-Sale businesses at First Data. In this capacity, McCarthy launched the First Data-branded line of point-of-sale terminals achieving market leadership in just 2 years. Additionally, he introduced several mobile commerce products including eGift Social that extends traditional plastic gift cards to the mobile handset and social networks like Facebook.
Earlier in his career at First Data, McCarthy led the global product and business development functions, and initially joined the company to lead product development for one of the company’s segments, Commercial Services.
Prior to joining First Data, McCarthy was vice president and general manager of the VeriSign (NASDAQ: VRSN) Internet Payments and Risk Management business. He led the business to its first-ever sustained profitability, reversing three consecutive annual losses and nearly doubling its size.
Before VeriSign, McCarthy co-founded and later sold MagnaCash, a Silicon Valley micro-payments software-as-a-service (SaaS) company. MagnaCash counted Gannett Media, Blockbuster and Ziff-Davis as major clients. The company is currently owned by Digital River (NASDAQ: DRV).
Prior to VeriSign, McCarthy was vice president and general manager of the ATM and ATM card business at Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFB), where he launched the first full-motion video advertising, four color receipt advertising, and expanded US Postage Stamp and discount ticket sales at the ATM.
McCarthy started his career at Procter and Gamble (NYSE: PG) where he spent 12 years in roles of increasing responsibility in sales, sales management, customer marketing and brand management.
He earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois – Urbana. Barry has also been nominated for the 2010 Atlanta Telecom Professional of the Year.
