Steve has been actively involved with the Association of Telecom Professional (ATP) for 4 years and has leadership positions as Director of Sponsorship, Director of Programming and Vice President for 2008-2009 season. His 15 years in international telecommunication has allowed him to work with vendors, customers, and colleagues in various countries as France, England, Brazil, Canada, Puerto Rico and US. His 15 year tenure with Orange Business Services spans his current position as Senior Manager for Customer Relationship Marketing as well as customer facing positions as Technical Project Management and Service Management. Additionally, Steve spent 7 years in various network engineering roles as a network planner and manager of remote dial, ATM, MPLS platforms and managed the network cost model. Orange Business Services represents the business communications solutions and services provided by the France Telecom Group.

Steve holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Economics and a Masters Degree in Telecommunications Management. He is also a committee member of Hands on Atlanta Skill Based Volunteering Council and an active member of the Georgia Council of International Visitors. Steve is happily married with his wife Andrea Sampaio Thomas with one daughter and they enjoy traveling and visiting family in Andrea's hometown of Fortaleza, Brazil. Steve is still practicing and learning his new second language Brazilian Portuguese.
