Bennett as Executive Vice President / Chief Information Officer confirms HomeBanc’s commitment to being a leader in the application of cutting-edge technology to the mortgage process. HomeBanc has been Atlanta’s No. 1 mortgage lender since 1992, and is now the fastest growing mortgage lender in central and south Florida. Mr. Bennett brought more than 17 years of marketing and information technology experience and leadership to HomeBanc. As the corporation’s first CIO, he is responsible for all of HomeBanc’s information technology and E-Commerce programs and is charged with developing strategies to enhance communications and support for customers and partners as HomeBanc continues its growth and seeks ever more innovative ways to speed the mortgage process and enhance its already world-class service.

Bennett joined HomeBanc from BellSouth, where he was Vice President for Corporate Systems Development at BellSouth Information Systems. There, he created and implemented the marketing information systems and customer information strategies for the corporation and its affiliates. In addition, he created the information systems strategies and directed the information systems and software development as CIO of BellSouth’s Small Business Services unit.

Bennett graduated from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
