Karen Finger

Karen is a business executive with over 20 years of diverse leadership experience in technology, where she has held management roles in sales, service delivery, customer lifecycle management, network design, and software development serving Fortune 500 enterprise and service provider companies.

Karen has been actively involved with ATP since 2008, and has held leadership roles on the board including Vice President and Director, and is currently President-Elect for 2012. Karen also chaired the prestigious Atlanta Telecom Professional of the Year awards gala in 2009 and in 2011.

Currently, Karen is a Sales Leader for CenturyLink’s Business Markets Group (formerly Qwest Business) where she leads the strategy, direction, and execution of sales acquisition, business development, and account management for top-tier Enterprise customers.

Prior to joining CenturyLink, Karen held management roles in both sales and technical sales support for Sprint and Nortel. Most recently, Karen was a Branch Manager in the National Accounts Sales and Distribution Division for Sprint-Nextel. In this role, Karen managed a $100M+ revenue stream and led sales teams in Georgia and Alabama responsible for driving the sales initiatives and nationwide channel distribution performance for the complete wireless and wireline business solutions portfolio.

Prior to moving into sales management, Karen was a Senior National Account Manager where she led the sales strategy and executive relationship development to penetrate, acquire, and develop new, marquee Fortune 100 accounts. Before transitioning to sales, Karen held a variety of leadership roles in pre and post technical sales support where she led the development and delivery of custom network solutions for many of Sprint’s Fortune 100 customers.

Additionally, during her tenure at Sprint, Karen created the concept for and led the product development and implementation of the nationwide network rollout of the then fastest, most robust and most flexible transaction processing platform in the industry. The network became its own business unit and was later sold for multi-millions.

Prior to joining Sprint, Karen worked in software development for the Network Consulting Division of Nortel in Dallas, Texas. In this role, Karen spearheaded the re-design, transformation and product development of Nortel’s network analysis and design software into the Industry’s premier custom network design reporting and proposal tool for fortune 100 prospects and customers.

Karen has a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and business administration from the University of Florida.
