Dan Mondor is Concurrent’s president and chief executive officer with responsibility for all aspects of company strategy and operations and is a member of Concurrent’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee. 

Dan has over 30 years of telecommunications industry experience with leading global corporations in general management, sales, marketing and strategic planning.  He previously held senior executive positions with Mitel Networks, Inc., Nortel Networks, Inc. and Siemens Corporation.  Prior to joining Concurrent, he was president of Mitel Networks Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Mitel Corporation, and was responsible for Mitel’s US operations.  Prior to joining Mitel, Dan was with Nortel Networks where he held a number of senior executive positions in general management, marketing and sales over a 17 year period.  Mr. Mondor joined Nortel as product line manager and served in positions of increasing responsibility including vice president of worldwide marketing for their optical networks division. In this role he was their most senior marketing executive, responsible for the business units global marketing strategy, market development, product marketing, communications, public and analyst relations, interactive/web marketing, demand generation, and industry events. During his tenure, annual revenue grew to $10B, the business achieved #1 global market share, and it became the biggest success story in Nortel’s 100+ year history. Before joining Nortel, Dan was with Siemens AG where he served in positions of increasing responsibility including director of strategic planning. He began his career with Bell-Northern Research in Ottawa, Canada.

Dan is frequently quoted in the press and publications on industry and technology trends. He was an invited speaker to Capitol Hill to brief Congressional Staff on telecom technology. He has received industry awards from Business Week for Innovation and from the National Engineering Consortium on Market Impact. Dan has served in an advisory capacity on the boards of telecom network start-up companies.

Dan received his Masters degree in Engineering from the University of Ottawa and his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba. He has completed executive programs at Harvard, Duke, and Cornell Universities.

A resident of Atlanta for 19 years, he is active in Atlanta area community and charitable foundations. True to his Canadian roots, he co-founded the Georgia Student Hockey League in 1999. His leadership paved the way for the development and growth of high school ice hockey athletic programs. The GSHL is now a flourishing league of 25 teams throughout the State of Georgia.
